Get in shape this winter! This is a brand new dojo in Durham and THIS IS THE REAL THING, i.e. no fantasy stuff here. Instructor trained as personal student of Mas Oyama in Japan. All training is geared towards real application (while of course stressing that real application should never be necessary except in the dojo or in self-defense situations). This training WILL get you in shape and it WILL teach you something you can use if you ever have to. Learn for self-defense, learn for competition, learn for health, learn for self-improvement. Instructor has taken students to Japan, Korea, South Africa and Russia for competitions and seminars in the past 3 years and would love to have you join us. (Women, you can take this training to the level you want. Want to learn self-defense and get in better shape? You can do that here. Want to learn full-contact fighting for competition? We can help you to do that too.) Dojo is operated by a nonprofit organization which strives to bring together people of different socioeconomic backgrounds while strengthening the bodies, hearts and minds of young people through karate training. Simple membership fee will be due monthly, therell be no contract (just pay on the same date each month as you continue training), and prices are very reasonable. Class schedule is currently only Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 BUT were just waiting for new students who want us to increase this training schedule, maybe even to one tailored for your schedule, i.e. if you can put together a group that wants to train at a certain time, well likely be able to accommodate. Call 923-6915, Nathan Ligo, for information. See www.budokaratehouse.com for nonprofits other activities (lots of photos here). Be sure also to read about Ligo Dojo's head instructor at the "Program Director" link above and to read about Kyokushinkan at the "Kyokushinkan Home" link above. Kyokushinkan Internationals
