Mr. D. Schwartz, 23, of California was admitted to the Budo Karate House Dormitory on Wednesday, April 12, 2000, making him BKH's very first resident student. The following interview was conducted on Friday, May 26th, Mr. Schwartz's 45th day in the program. Accompanying the questions and answers of Mr. Schwartz's interview, you will find a series of photographs showing Mr. Schwartz in action as he demonstrates for us on his day off several of the excercises that make up the daily routine of his morning training sessions. Also following each several Q&A's you will find a brief "Director's Commentary" in which the BKH program director comments in writing to suppliment Mr. Schwartz's answers in order to give the reader a more complete picture of the BKH dormitory program. Keep in mind as you read that Mr. Schwartz has, at the time of this interview, has just completed his very first five weeks of karate training. Although he was a sucessful wrestler in high school nearly five years earlier, he has no prior experiece in martial arts training. |
