Video Clips:
Click on links below. We have HOURS of video that
we can convert to clips and upload. Check back frequently we will
try to add additional clips utill we've posted a suitable representation.
1. Sensei
in Demonstration at European Cup, Hungary 2007

2. Sensei
Breaking beer bottles with Shuto (It's very difficult
to see breaking glass because it happens so fast. We have slowed
down the video as much as we could. In the slow clip, look for
the neck of the bottle flying skyward, straight up, to the left
of the iron beam in the background.)

3.
Some dojo kumite, Sensei and former residentail student
4.
Second Year BKH Student Fighting.
This is a big file but worth the wait. Remember that BKH residential
student is only in his second year of training in Karate, ever.
His black belt oponent, on the other hand, has been training for
6-8 years. This is the difference between training part-time vs.
full-time. You can't rush experience so you'll see the BKH students
outclassed technically, but you'll also see that they're tough
enough to stand toe to toe after only 12-14 months training.
This is current dormitory resident, Paul Kaminski, in
Rochester. We almost didn't add this video, embarrassed by the
outfit the other fighter was wearing, but he was a decent fighter,
and it was a decent fight.

5. Stick It
Out. By Rebekah Fergusson. This
is an actual 15-minute documentary film made about
our residential program by a Duke University Documentary Film
student. It is a must-see for anyone interested in the residential
program. Not alot of action here -- get that from the clips above
-- but lots of excelent interview.
Wanna meet Sensei Ligo? Here's your chance! This
is three years ago and the dojo was barely open.
6.
Tameshiwari (breaking) in Korea 2005. Kata performed
during demo is Tensho

7. Pinan
2 Application Demonstration. Kata shown first time
through is Pinan 2. Immediately following, Sensei performs the
kata again at 2005 demonstration in Korea with coriographed attackers
in order to demonstrate the kata's application.

8. Lerner
Demo. A NYC television producer named Steven Lerner
came to Ligo Dojo in 2006 to investigate residentail program for
reality show. This, and the kumite above (3), was part of the
demonstration we did for him.
9. Kanku.
Execution of the kata, Kanku. Here for the sake of Ligo Dojo students
who are practicing it. This tape is abotu two years old and, for
Sensei, painful to watch. "I get to see all my mistakes too!"
10. First-Year
BKH Student Fighting. Current
BKH residentail student, Paul Kaminski, at Japan Weight category
tournament last year. Kaminski is the one who's NOT Japanese.
In this case BKH student had been training for less than three
months and this is his first international tournament experience.

11. First-Year
BKH Student Fighting. Former BKH residentail student
at Japan Weight category tournament. BKH student is the one who's
NOT Japanese. In this case BKH student has been training for less
than six months and this is his first international tournament
experience.

12. Gekisai-sho.
Kata performed by Sensei in Kata Competition at Korea Open Tournament
in 2006.
13. Second
Year BKH Student Fighting. This is a big file but worth
the wait. Remember that BKH residential student (brown belt) is
only in his second year of training in Karate, ever. His black
belt oponent, on the other hand, has been training for 6-8 years.
This is the difference between training part-time vs. full-time.
You can't rush experience so you'll see the BKH students outclassed
technically, but you'll also see that they're tough enough to
stand toe to toe after only 12-14 months training. This is the
tournament we went to in 2007 in Hungary
